The Committee shall scrutinize the draft resolution on Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Visa Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU", and amends and supplement the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Accession of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)" (regarding the accession of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Treaty (Reg. No. 6420).
The Committee on European Integration is going to scrutinize 199 bills on correspondence to the Law of European Union, obligations of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, norms and principles of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the World Trade Organization.
The Committee members plan to scrutinize the bills connected with the language issues. Namely, the following bills on amendments to the Laws "On Protection of Rights for Trade Marks" (regarding language requirements) (Reg. No.10685); "On Protection of Rights for Industrial Samples" (regarding use of the Russian language) (Reg. No.1066); "On Protection of Rights for indicating the Origin" (regarding language issues during the registration of a qualified source) (Reg. No.1067); "On Protection of Rights for Inventions" (regarding language issues in the documents on patent issue) (Reg. No.1068); "On Protection of Rights on Variety of Plants" (on language use in the course of preparing an application for registration) (Reg. No.1070); "On Ratification of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages" (Reg. No.1071); "On the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting" (regarding authorities in the sphere of language use) (Reg. No.1076); "On Education" (regarding language) (Reg. No.2555); "On Preschool Education" (regarding language) (Reg. No.2556), etc.
The Committee shall scrutinize the bills on regional or minority languages (Reg. No.1072), on ban on restricting the sphere of use of the Ukrainian language (Reg. No.6300), etc.
According to the working schedule of the eighth session, the Committee shall scrutinize the bill on legalization of income of legal entities and individuals (Reg. No.1289).
The working plan envisages scrutinizing the bill on regulation of valuation activities in Ukraine (Reg. No.4487).
The bill on reforms of the state-owned and public printed media (Reg. No.6468), and the bill on increase of the competitive ability of mining and smelting enterprises (Reg. No.7056) shall be considered.
The Committee members are going to hold an off-site meeting in Lviv region to discuss the development of the transfrontier and international cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union.
It is planned to hold the following committee hearings: "Perspectives of the Transfrontier Cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union"; "Perspective of the Agreement on Association and Formation of a Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and the EU" , "Development of Visa Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU", and round table discussions: "Administrative Reform in Ukraine and Institutional Support of the European International Policy"; "Implementation of the State Program on Harmonization of Ukrainian Legislation with the EU Standards."
The Committee members plan to participate in the workshop conference "Coming Agreement on Association between Ukraine and the EU: Institutional Challenges", the seminar "Experience of the Institutional Support of the Implementation of the Agreements on Association between the EU and the Third Parties", and the project "Institutional Support of the Implementation of the Coming Agreement on Association between Ukraine and the EU."
